So long to the A350 order if this is going to actually happen.

I don't know. Our oldest 777s will be 25+ years old in 2022. And we did convert the A350 order to 900s.... and actually increased the number. Seems like a good replacement aircraft for the 777s. We'll see.

Official announcement on the XLRs from Brian Quigley on CCS sign in. Deferring the A350s until 2027.

I agree with the 777 replacement being a concern. But I have a feeling Boeing is going to be doing some serious sweet heart deals for us after the MAX issues. I wouldn’t be shocked if we get 787-9/10’s at a very very attractive price. And If that’s the case, United just needed to tie up their obligations to Airbus/Rolls Royce for the 350. So maybe a nice 50 frame A321XLR order satisfied all parties? Who knows but it’s very welcome news for me!

Are there any strings attached to these planes concerning 76 seaters?

The problem with Sparkie is that it carries the PAX but not the cargo. The 777 carries all. Although the 777 doesn't have the range of the Sparkie -8s & -9s. But it can carry more stuff.

You must be a joy to fly with. How often do you complain everyday?
