True, but there was this tidbit as well...

“In 2020, we currently expect to take delivery of 64 mainline aircraft consisting of 787s, 777-300ERs, 737 MAXs, used A319s and used 737 Next Generation aircraft.”

64 new planes in one year isn’t anything to sneeze about. Now I can see why the new hire classes are up to 60 pilots per.

We still have more WB airplanes than any of the other Legacy Carriers, except for Delta. But they just don't fly many of their WB airplanes. They leave that to Korean, Virgin Atlantic, etc.

Pretty cool but the seniority distribution is going to be crazy. The bottom 20% are going be global reserve rules flying 5-leg days to places like DSM, can get rolled, will still have to cover LGA/Baltimore, and will Only have 6 HDOs a month. A commuting/QOL nightmare.

But it will be good for junior guys living in base wanting the Capt bid.

AA is replacing 767s with 787s. Our 757s are being replaced by 321xlr’s. United still has more widebody aircraft and a larger percentage of heavies in the total fleet.

The majority of Delta’s WB are 767s. I imagine a lot of them will eventually be replaced by 321s.

How much you flown the 787?

It takes off for Singapore twice a day from SFO on a 17 hour flight, full of both passengers and cargo (max gross). My experience has been quite different than what you describe.

If you’re saying the triple has more cubes below the floor, I can’t argue with that.

Yeah but what about on the way back? My parents got left behind so it could haul more cubes.

I'm new to UA. Can you break down your insight by base/equipment? Thanks.

Any airplane, including the 777, can max out before it cubes out.

That happens on the 777 out of HKG sometimes too.
