True, but there was this tidbit as well...
“In 2020, we currently expect to take delivery of 64 mainline aircraft consisting of 787s, 777-300ERs, 737 MAXs, used A319s and used 737 Next Generation aircraft.”
64 new planes in one year isn’t anything to sneeze about. Now I can see why the new hire classes are up to 60 pilots per.

Pretty cool but the seniority distribution is going to be crazy. The bottom 20% are going be global reserve rules flying 5-leg days to places like DSM, can get rolled, will still have to cover LGA/Baltimore, and will Only have 6 HDOs a month. A commuting/QOL nightmare.
But it will be good for junior guys living in base wanting the Capt bid.

The majority of Delta’s WB are 767s. I imagine a lot of them will eventually be replaced by 321s.

It takes off for Singapore twice a day from SFO on a 17 hour flight, full of both passengers and cargo (max gross). My experience has been quite different than what you describe.
If you’re saying the triple has more cubes below the floor, I can’t argue with that.
