More bad news for United! The Summer Olympics have just been moved to Next year. This is the end of the old big airplanes with old FA's.
Make no mistake, United through it's own mismanagement is today in worst shape than the post 911 bankruptcy. Yep, the largest Bankruptcy in the industry.

Just checked the fleet list and here are the updated totals. This list only includes those aircraft that are listed as "parked" or "stored", many others are in Maintenance at various locations.

All these airframes are collateral for the interest only bankruptcy loans that were rolled over in to merger loans. Now, these loans are due to be retired by paying back the principle. Those banks that hold the loans, also were given stock as a guarantee on the loans. Whose stock was just repurchased and put into treasure stock? You guessed it, the banks. Would it surprise you to know that there are 400's out there that are still collateral at $25M that needs paid back.
