That’s because this thread is dominated by like 5 or 6 people. You honestly think 12,000+ pilots are on here and just not posting? Plenty of people don’t feel the need to validate themselves by anonymously posting their views in the hopes that they might influence somebody’s vote. I wish I was one of them.

YMMV
if the company cancels some displacements, but not others, I could be stuck in a NB right seat while guys/gals junior to me keep their WB seats. There is always a situation that could leave someone with less than someone else... I’ve made peace with that. I could be facing a 66% reduction in pay, a 100% or some other number, but I think it’s important to craft your view based on not knowing which group you’re in. Once the info is out, people’s motives become much mOre suspect

Maybe too late but I think we are shooting ourselves in the foot with this. With Congress floundering on CARES II it looks increasingly unlikely we’ll see a funding bill before the election. If by that time we’ve already taken concessions to mitigate furloughs, it’ll be “Great- the free market worked! The airlines solved this one on their own!” If we & possibly other groups have rejected these offers, “Congress can’t help where employees aren’t willing to be realistic & come to the table.” Either way, I think we’ve made ourselves less of a priority. Bad news from the Senate this week, and a possible setup to cut ourselves out of further government funding.
From an ABC news article (emphasis mine):
“‘This is a tough, tough situation, and there is no question that the airlines are facing unprecedented challenges,’ Toomey told The Associated Press. ‘But there is a real serious policy question we have to ask ourselves, which is for how long are the taxpayers supposed to prop up firms in an industry that clearly has massive overcapacity at this moment?’
“An agreement this week between United Airlines and its pilots to avoid furloughs could provide more ammunition to opponents who believe further aid for airlines is unnecessary. The agreement, which still needs final approval, would save nearly 3,000 jobs at United. Pilots at Alaska Airlines, JetBlue and Spirit Airlines have reached similar deals, making unspecified contract concessions to avoid furloughs.
”’If labor and management can come together and reach an agreement whereby furloughs are avoided ... that's very encouraging,’ Toomey said.”

I mean, the rumors I’m hearing do not have a carveout for the bottom third… And right now the most vocal people seem to be post merger hires who are sick of being treated like they have not been in the 121 world for two decades.
YMMV

I don’t need any help from Congress. I don’t need any /3 to take a pay cut. I need my peers to sack up and vote to uphold the contract and not turn this job back into their ****ty RJ job out of fear of 0% pay.
I fully support our union and efforts for mitigation. I will be extremely disappointed if what we see looks like the rumors. I will be more disappointed when it passes. I will finally get mad when March rolls around and they come back for more MPG to save more furloughs. And we pass that, too.
