I'm concerned this maybe the beginning of the end for ALPA. Not happy with splitting the pilot group by 1/3s. The bottom 1/3 keep their jobs but get insulted with 39MPG. Why not have have a standard 50MPG across the group? Does ALPA always have to cater to the top 1/3 of the group?
Because the top 2/3's, for now, aren't being furloughed. It's still a seniority system but many are doing their best to reverse it.

Why is it when everyone is hired they always ask the same question? "How many do I have to have beneath me until I'm safe?"

They knew the risks inherent with this career when they signed on the dotted line. These aren't my words but those from someone within the 2850 ranks.

they know how to “buy” enough votes. Catering to different deferments is the way to do it.

Anyone who says they will wait to see what’s in this worries me they are a yes voter. I can tell you right now that I am voting no for this flaming POS!

The RJs are responsible for the bottom 1/3 looking at a furlough? SMH.

Never let the facts stand in the way of revisionist history.

flaming POS… Huh. The thing that no one has read yet? The agreement that our hard-working volunteer union members have probably been losing sleep to get to us for our review?

I guess you don’t trust yourself to use your critical thinking hat and just vote no before you read it? Are you afraid of what happens when you start thinking for yourself, you might be tempted to see a nuanced position somewhere between the two ends of the spectrum? we have a lot of amazing guys and gals volunteering their time to try and make our careers better. I trust that the negotiating committee and MEC will not send us something terrible, and if We happen to not believe it is in our best interest, We will vote no.

try to treat situations like they are dynamic… It helps in the cockpit and in life too

What about those in the middle third who now need a second job. They are going to tell their future employer, obtw I can only work 15 random days a month and I won't know what they are until 12 days prior to the month beginning. Good luck finding that job unless you're working for uncle Saul or your wife's cousin Vinny.

+1. Well said, let’s take a look at it and judge it on standalone merit.
