I’m not really sure I follow your logic here, and I’m not trying to be ‘douchey’ either. This COVID pandemic was the first time in history that we have ever quarantined/isolated healthy people. Healthy people are not the vectors of transmission of a respiratory virus. In order for a respiratory virus to be contagious, you need enough viral load in your system. And if you have that viral load, you WILL have symptoms. That is basic physiology. That whole ruse of ‘asymptomatic transmission’ is a complete farce. But thats a topic for another discussion. My point is that the sickly and vulnerable populations need to be the one’s quarantining and isolating, not restricting the movements/lives of normal healthy people. Call me selfish or callous, but I’m not willing to live in some utopian society where we need to do a variety of things “for the greater good”. Do a risk assessment, determine which ones you are willing to accept for yourself and then live your life.

Im not sure I get what you’re trying to say either. Heart disease kills a lot of people each year. Do COVID deaths have to exceed that threshold in order for it to be worthy of your attention? How about the next illness that comes around and kills 600k? Should we not care about that either?

It’s not a matter of “not caring”. But thats the narrative that is being invoked for those that don’t get vaccinated. Yes, heart disease kills more people than COVID, but we don’t force people to exercise, eat salads and ban McDonalds. Its called personal accountability.

that’s a good sound bite but heart disease isn’t airborne and contagious. Eating well and exercising won’t prevent you from getting COVID. Most likely you were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Unfortunately, we do have to take into account how our actions or lack there of will affect others during a pandemic.

Of course heart disease isn’t contagious, but that wasn’t the point I was trying to make. All I’m saying is that people need to make their own risk assessments and adjust accordingly without infringing on others. Especially for a virus that has such a low mortality rate.
Thank you science!

Also, the director of the CDC has said influenza kills school aged children TEN TIMES more than Covid. Yet, just a few days ago the American Academy of Pediatrics recommended that all children who are not vaccinated should still wear masks in school. Show me your science that shows how that makes even an ounce of sense. 1. Fauci says privately masks don’t do anything. 2. Kids should wear masks for one virus, but don’t have to wear masks for another virus that’s ten times deadlier for their age group?!?! I don’t need to be a virologist or epidemiologist to figure that out. A heroin addict living behind a gas station dumpster that has any kind of common sense can see that doesn’t make any sense. Again, you don’t know your own science.
Here’s an interesting tidbit you can find on the American Academy of Pediatrics own website to help it make more sense….
https://www.aap.org/en-us/advocacy-a...upporters.aspx
This is a link straight from their own website showing who helps fund them. Only one of those listed is a corporation. Guess which corporation that is…. PFIZER.
Hmmm, I wonder why the AAP would ever suggest masks for any child not vaccinated?
