This thread has a lot of replies so I apologize if someone already mentioned this but the entire mass-vaccination campaign has been a real sh*tshow when it comes to memorializing the vaccine administration. I know this as I work at an institution that has been giving out vaccines en masse. First off, some of the physician and RN handwriting is so bad, it can be extremely difficult to decode their hieroglyphic print on the cards. Second, a conniving individual can spend 10 minutes sifting Reddit posts to learn exactly how verification works. One of the methods to verify is to match the lot number with the date of that dose by accessing the online database. If it jives, then it is probably legit. Obviously the fraudster could copy said data from his/her friends legit ID card thus the date would jive with the database info. CDC developed the Vaccine Administration Management System (VAMS) to assist with tracking doses. Here is the big problem: many and I mean MANY people were vaccinated with none of their data entered into VAMS.
Just picture the enormous vaccination events that happened in arenas etc. The amount of clerical errors is biblical.
I bet that those who were “caught” had what we call “fifty footers” (you could tell it was a fake from 50-ft away…)

 

Submitting a fake/altered vaccination card is just idiotic.

Everyone should probably make a second vax card to travel and keep the other in a safe place. It's just writing on paper. No signatures. It's just facts. You're not forging anything. A photocopy would make sense but unfortunately there are morons out there who think originals have special powers.

 

It's criminal. Statute for misusing government seals calls for fines or up to 5 years in the Fed!

Yeah but this is turning into a mattress tag issue. It’ll be unenforceable. There are already hundreds of thousands in circulation. They cannot and will not arrest everyone. AUSA’s turn down serious felonies all the time as they’re too busy with real and more serious cases.

 

Definitely worth it to “take your chances” then, right? I mean, what could go wrong?

 

This did not happen. Employers can not verify vaccine authenticity. These vaccines are not serialized. You can buy the cardstock at Staples. The lot numbers are all over twitter. Fan fiction from the circle jerking authoritarian virtue signalers.
