When we thinking for next bid? Thought for sure it would be last Friday, but maybe the 777 PW changing things up?

Rumor is that next vacancy will be thin… Primarily 737/756/320 to cover new hires.

Wasn’t that what they said previously? Last thing that I remember reading was plans for a small bid to cleanup the two previous large bids, fill the unfilled captain vacancies in bases that people will bid the seat, and provide new hire slots.

Because there were no slots? You definitely had the seniority to hold it. I have a friend who's been a DCA Airbus captain for over a year, and he's been here under 10 years.

Yes, you are (sometimes) correct about slots. I had my DCA 320 Captain bid in since the pandemic displacement in May 2020, and could not hold it until November 2021. Sometimes there were slots that went senior to me or had grandfathered pilots in them and other times there were no slots. But for almost a year and a half my bid was not awarded. So I don't know that it’s really accurate to say I “definitely has the seniority to hold it” during that period. I could have held it pre-pandemic, as I’m assuming your friend did, but chose not to bid it then because I was enjoying being a 756 FO.
