Recently had a guy in the jumpseat with less than a year to go. Looks at me at tells me he has 1000 hours of sick leave. I looked at him and said “what’s wrong with you?”

Dude prob just loves flying…and commuting from the sound of it. Might not be much going on at home.

that is incorrect. My old job had a 1.5% raise every year after the amendable date. Wasn’t enough to get a new contract because it was an segment leading contract already. But it made waiting a lot more tolerable.

doubt it. We already have more WB than AA and DL combined and they are throwing them at new markets so they don’t sit still while Asia comes back never.

Agreed. I’m pretty sure we have a perpetual pay raise for per diem in the UAL contract.

Three 767-300 engine failures in last few months. 767’s really getting old. 777-200’s aging and wait to see some of the hiccups after most sitting idle for two years.

Look for a large Widebody order in the next 12 - 18 months for replacements of 767’s & 777-200’s plus some growth. Kirby has already said he will make Boeing compete against Airbus for such an order. Has made public statements of either 100 plus A350’s or none.

What happens to those orders when the economy continues to go down while oil prices go up and consumer demand drops?! How could they offer us a big juicy contract AND be able to order new jets to replace the old Boeing ones?

I'm starting to get very pessimistic about this place.
