INSANE
I’m not on the 777, but with the exception of the Dec G line debacle, I watched the g line go fairly senior, to less senior, to kinda junior, to quite junior, to Wait really? Then December went from really junior to 4 years more senior (absurd change), and now January is like new-hire-practically-has-a-line.

EWR 737 is rapidly becoming the most stagnant place to be (quite the change from a year ago). I’d have better g line seniority on the 777, or even 737 in ORD/IAH.

Im really wondering how this all shakes out over the next 6 months, though. Lots of seniority bailing on EWR 737 into other bases.

I’m real tempted to try my hand at the wide body thing, and I would be pretty darn close to being a line holder. But with the shenanigans they’ve been pulling with the G line I don’t want to make the jump then get stuck on reserve for years.

that’s my dilemma. I just have no faith or predictability on the g line. I can’t even begin to guess where “might” be the right move.

At the same time, I think you will see the relative seniority on the bottom of EWR 777 FO actually move backwards. As people at the top of the list move to other categories, others will move in bidding on top of the most junior.

Yes should be one today. Bid closes tomorrow so snapshots are required each full workday that it’s open.

Smart thinking about "the shenanigans." 777 CA G Line in EWR is down around 72-73%. There are a lot of balls in the air that are negatively impacting WB flying in EWR right now (Russian overflight... China opening... did I mention Russian overflight?), but those balls are gonna land eventually and it's tough to predict exactly how that'll effect each WB fleet in each base. If you could hold a line in SF on the 787, I'd say go now because that's a growth airplane. I think you're probably safe on the 777 there, but I wouldn't bet two years of commuting to reserve on it. They're doing some funky stuff with G Lines in the system.

SFO has plenty of crashpads.

Did you know there are 200 retirements listed on Vacancy Bid 23-05V? Good thing Linday Graham's republican bill to raise the retirement age is DOA in this Democratic Senate and Administration. Happy bidding and remember....
