Every interview was worth $1 million. Ok lol, numbers don’t lie. Numbers DGAF about your feelings neither lol. Again, you wasn’t the only person not getting nibble. There were a lot of folks in the demographics that you claimed that got a fast tracked to interviews who met the same quals who didn’t get any kind of nibble as well.

As a member of a privileged group (or an oppressed one depending on your leanings), I don’t feel divided at all. None of the people I work with are shoving their identities in my face, and I have never been asked or expected to participate in an activity centered on a particular group. (Although I’ve been indirectly invited to a few- gasp!) I speak openly about my family & social life & have never once been challenged or asked to stop. Ironically, the only time I really get the sense someone is trying to divide me into a group is when I read online postings from members of my own demographic.

Maybe I’m just too caught up in the “new orthodoxy”, but frankly it feels a lot like the old orthodoxy to me- show up, do your job, don’t be an a-hole, keep everyone safe, & leave it at work when you go home.

It’s like being a Black dude who can’t dance, or a gay dude with zero fashion sense. People make assumptions about you because of what you look like or where you came from….and yet it’s not actually true. (Intentionally stereotyping here to point out hypocrisy….in case that’s not painfully obvious)

In your case, there is enough quantifiable evidence to prove that you DO have that fashion sense (with your $800 work shoes), and that you’re also a pompous, judgmental narcissist gaslighter.

But you are clearly very intelligent and I wouldn’t expect an easy victory if it came down to a verbal sparring match. You do have a sharp wit.

I also made my way to Delta by passing upgrade training at SkyWest and new hire training at spirit adding another type with success. 2022 was a great year for me.

I personally can’t stand my fellow minority pilots who live in denial and act like they didn’t have an easier path. I find them pathetic tbh. Still have to pass training events, still have to pass the interview, but don’t act like everyone else doesn’t have to put in that work and then some.
You think you’re the only one that upgraded at a regional and got a type rating? What makes you special? Mostly everyone did that , big deal uncle T .

So now that degrees aren’t required, I think we have narrowed it down to white F-15 pilots = loser. I would have liked to have flown an F-15. Where do I send my reparations check? Also, is it ok to still like the Airplane jive quotes or…? Do other career paths have this same kind of thread? Police. Yeah, probably them.

Wow folks. The threat is low experience. I feel a lot of fear in this thread. Time to start demonstrating that superior aviation ability in front of our newhire generation. It’s up to us to ultimately show the next generation how it’s done right. Not only are newhire requirements coming down—upgrades are going junior. Put both in the seats at the same time and we have a bigger issue than race ever was! Let’s execute that FAR requirement of “good moral character.” At least I will try to do that while I’m rollin’ coal at WN. I bet a bunch of you drive them damn Hyundais anyway.

I guess that ban wasn’t long enough.
