CA training failures no longer "count" among other changes. WOW

Yikes. The timing of that certainly doesn’t make me feel like the company thinks that improving our QOL and compensation will entice people to bid to junior captain positions in the expensive coastal bases.

Reaching for the bottom of the barrel in lieu of an industry leading contract anytime soon.

This is what this is about. Previous version of the program didn't require upgrading to transition. Now you must serve 1200 or 1600 hours as captain before you can transition depending on how you entered the program.

Is anyone going to bring up the real problem staring right at us from that article?

The pilot in the photo at the top of the article is a Captain. So why is she hanging out of the FO’s side window?! And don’t get me started on the FOD dangers from waving her hat around…

Take a closer look at the number of stripes on her shoulder.

Currently LCC’s are hiring 1500 hour pilots. We are hiring alot of pilots in the low 2,000 hour range with no TPIC with no degree.

In the not to distant future we will be hiring 1500 pilots at UAL. Thus the change. The industry has no one left. Kirby wants to hire 8000 on top of retirements in next 5 years. Looks like will be compromising safety for hiring.

You’re just banging the drum wherever you can…

outside of your opinion, where do hours equate safety?
