Sorry, United brothers. JB has wandered off the reservation again.

See, everyone on the Delta forum gave him a warm cup of shut the - up so now he trolls his sour grapes poor me BS on all the other airlines forums.

Never mind that he's an A350 check airman pulling down half a million dollars a year. All he can do is whine how that's not enough and he was entitled to an 18% raise during covid when the US Taxpayer was paying his salary. He also goes on our internal chitchat forum and whines about the government wasting money and inflation and high taxes, but that's not hypocritical to him. He whines how he's entitled to 2 more years at the top of the pay scale too since his pension was "stolen" when his union voted it away in bankruptcy.

So sorry you have to clean up his dog poo here. Feel free to throw it back over the fence, and we'll put it in the compost pile. Thankfully, he'll be retired soon.

Ouch. You buy that flame thrower from Elon Musk or pick it up military surplus? Not criticizing, just admiring it. Solidarity brother.

Blah blah blah. What you are saying still doesn't make it retro pay ,Chief. What you are doing is spreading disinformation.

In this “woke” world, they continue to change the meaning of words and re-write history.

It was Retro, if it was also given to pilots who retired.
It can’t be a singing bonus as those who retired didn’t sign anything!

Now, you can argue that it wasn’t 100% retro as they didn’t make up for the Bfund contributions and no $ value placed on lost QoL, and THAT is a valid argument.… but it’s still “retro” in the sense of the word.
80% retro?

Motch

Delta pilots chime in here, but the contract was backdated to Jan. 1st. I doubt anyone who retired prior to that date got anything. So… not retro.

This isn’t about you DAL. Enjoy your retro just like the FED will with those taxes.

What’s the over under on a AIP by earnings week?

good question-
A) Pilot retires June 2022?
B) Pilot retires Dec 2022?
C) Pilot retires Feb 2023?

My understanding was that all three pilot got “retro pay” and all three pilots got Profit Sharing for 2022 (last month)

No?!

I'm just trying to help you understand how these payrates were sold to the DAL pilots. They did not compound. They were not pensionable. They were back pay only for that specific year in which the pay was earned. In other words, it was a bonus only. If that meets your definition of 'retro' then fine, but know that you are selling yourself short. I hope you learn from our mistake.

I urge you to do the math for both conditions. It just might wake you up to what is and what isn't retro.

Oh, and alpa gets a cut no matter what as well as the .gov.

Retro or bonus

I will not take anything less than
2019 after January 31st amendable day…14% of my W2 earnings minus the month of January
2020…..5% of my W2
2021……5% of my W2
2022….14% of my W2
2023….18% of my W2

call it what you want but anything less than that a big NO from me period.
so they can delay all they want

Posts like this are so incredibly not helpful when we are in negotiations. We wonder why management thinks they have a better idea of what the pilot group wants than the Union.
