I don't understand this advice. Their application got them the interview, their performance during the interview didn't get them over the finish line.

The application and the interview is part of the whole score. You can have a so-so interview and an otherwise stellar application and still get hired. A weak, but interviewable, application and a so-so interview and TNBT.

Default Updating an application

I have an application on file from a year ago but I'm have difficulty updating. When I fill out the personal information on the First Officer application, it tells me I have an active application on file and to use the original authentication link and code. Anyone have any experience with this as I don't have an authentication link? I've tried to log in with my email on the careers page and it brings up a dashboard but no where to access my application. Any ideas?

When you applied, you got an email from United. Search "do not reply United" it might come up. It'll have your code.

Upto something like 60 days after indoc w/FAA PRD access. Occasionally you’ll get contacted if they can’t get in touch with a previous employer at the contact info you’ve given them. Otherwise no news is good news.
