thanks. Appreciate it. I’ve been flying the 737 for three years now. No issues in the 121 world and honestly, the military ones were minor, but I felt I should disclose them. Unfortunately, upgrade time at my airline is like 8+ years.

you should absolutely disclose them and it’s good you did. You are certainly not disqualified just try to keep upping that resume anyway you can. There is just a glut of demand right now and with Spirit in trouble ALPA has an agreement with the company to give preference for interviews to a distressed carrier. The Spirit pilots are big time qualified and there is a lot of them.

If you're so concerned about "missing the boat" you're gonna want to row yourself back to 2022 because you have MISSED the boat... I digress. It's September, classes are filling at a timeline of 2-ish months from CJO-> class date. Take a breath, we're hiring, we're growing, you're number is just a matter of time. If you're so worried just keep your head down and keep padding that application so you are as competitive as you can be. Best of luck.

With all the hiring united is about to do. Is there a chance to get called for an interview without being in aviate if you already fly for a united regional that is a part of aviate?

From someone who knows nothing about you, where you went to undergrad, grad school, how much 121 PIC you have, your training records, etc... yes, there is a chance.

Im pretty sure you have to be in the Aviate program to go to United from an Aviate regional. Otherwise it would undermine the entire program.

Are you saying that it's not worth going to UA in 2026?

If you’re hired in 2026, you’ll have thousands behind in within 5 years. You’ll be fine, come on over

A third behind is a good furlough buffer.

It's all about expectations. In 2021 coming out of Covit. United in the span of 3.5 years hired over 8000 pilots. Basically if you had a heart beat and had an ATP with no experience you were hired. Most of the 8000 were under the age of 30-34 and a LARGE % under 27 years old.

So the boat has left, not only did it leave but it's half way across the Atlantic by now. You can still have a great career here! However the days of rapid movement and quick upgrade are long gone. If you are looking at MCO IAH LAS or ORD not a lot of movement. If you are SFO LAX EWR IAD you will be just fine! Good Luck !
