Curious about reserve times in the junior bases, as well as the difference with WBs. Does reserve really go senior on those… 756 included?

That is not accurate.

United currently has ~18K pilots
Aproximately 1000 have retirement dates 2060 or later
Of those, 700 have numbers under 16K
Just over 100 have numbers under 13K

There were some people who got very, very lucky. But it's not thousands

Reserve times in junior NB bases are a function of how many people get hired right after you. If the predictions for 50 new hires a week for 2026 hold, the reserve times will be very low. at whatever point that train stops, it could be years.

WB it's gonna take a bit to hold a line. Reserve used to be VERY junior pre UPA23. It's now seen sometimes among senior people, but anybody who wants reserve can get it generally.

756 is a very mixed bag. Some bases (LA, SFO, DEN) are small and all 757 ... except when they use them to cover other bases routes. Others (EWR, IAD) have substantial 763 and 764, lots of IRO. hard to say.

So the boat has left, not only did it leave but it's half way across the Atlantic by now. You can still have a great career here! However the days of rapid movement and quick upgrade are long gone. If you are looking at MCO IAH LAS or ORD not a lot of movement. If you are SFO LAX EWR IAD you will be just fine! Good Luck !
Stop spreading false information. The AVERAGE age through the whole time was right about 34.years old. Were they less qualified then the past as an average, 100%. They are still far below the historical averages in terms of experience. Not on the age though.

Class today. 75 people in it. Drops were EWR/ORD/SFO 320 and 737, plus a few LAS 737.

I wonder if the other 2 September classes will have 75 each? Looks like they are sending out invites for October classes right now. I hope a lot of NK pilots make it over.
