Trust is “artificial” with the commonality of the FM/FOM/UPA, company ID and uniform.

if one of dudes at 5am was using the wrong FM something would be suspect.

This is why pilots who don’t care about the uniform or have a negative attitude create resentment.

Again in None of my comments have I advocated for nor promoted intentional uniform non compliance. I also adhere to uniform policy. Nor have I promoted or encouraged others to "come to work like slobs"- however that statement is very subjective.

So far if you want to go back and read, all I have done is point out my dislike for current policy and draw attention to it being a little archaic compared to most of our peers. The fact that I think the hat is stupid is me disagreeing with you, someone who obviously loves the hat. It is not me having a bad attitude.

commonality of the FM/FOM/UPA......I know right I mean I bet all you guys who be hatin on me still use the term "Co-Pilot"

This way the company has something to bargain with if/should contract concessions be on the table. Small payout for you to wear leather jackets again?

My mom (now deceased) was a "stewardess" for Pan Am for 12yrs back in the 60's, flying on the Constellation and 707's. Before she passed a few years ago I once introduced her as a former FA and she immediately corrected me in front of my friend stating unequivocally, "no no no, I was a stewardess, it was a hard job to get, keep and do well and I was proud of that title!" she told us.

That’s a really cool story. (No sarcasm for a change).

You mean, “You don’t care”. That’s quite different from everyone else not caring. And how would you know that they don’t care? Can you read their minds? Nope, just making stuff up.

I am not sure that I would want to put my family on his airplane.

I seem to remember when NWA got in bed with Delta, the NWA pilots were paid for their leather jackets. Do I remember that correctly?
