Bandera-

Was that no UAL side recalls until Fall 2011? Was that in Todd's email? Just curious.

Mind reposting or PM me?

Thanks-

KC

Yes, He stated no recalls to the UAL side till Fall 2011 and it would be a small recall at that. Email him, he will give you what he knows NOW.

You need to rethink this "no one owes us anything" stance. You were kicked to the street while "money bags" Tilton walked away with everything. It's high time we let people know that MANAGEMENT has done nothing but hurt us. They scream there's no money, but their is ALWAYS plenty for them and their ilk. They cut our jobs, benefits, pay, etc., and then compensate themselves with the "savings". They owe you a LOT my friend..............:(

Does he really know something 1 year in advance? Can you post that letter? Was this an announcement or what he thinks.

You are completely correct. I think most of us double-furloughees feel so beaten down by management and forgotten by ALPA that we have just walked away as the future feels hopeless.

I can tell you one thing, and I hope I speak for most of my double-furloughed brethren, if we, the 2172/1450 ever get together in the same cause, we will be galvanized. After all that we have been through I feel about as close to any of these individuals as I would a squadron buddy in any deployment. It is an unwanted status, but one which when you meet another, you can't help but drink heavily, vent and feel better after spending time around somebody else who truly understands what kind of career "hell" we have/are going through. I don't think any of us will ever forget all that has happened.

Peace-

Well said KC. We need to be a strong voice thru the SLI.

KC......you are NOT forgotten. If you knew how many pilots go to bat for you every day, you'd be surprised. On the other hand, there's the "few" who could care less about anyone other than themselves, and believe me, I WILL tell the FO's who their friends are and aren't. I'm tired of seeing these 115 hour a month pilots who "need" the money to survive, yet have no wife, family, or kids..........but can barely survive and can't stop bragging about their three homes, two boats, 10 girlfriends, etc. And the sad thing is, is they think it's funny that they can do whatever they want because our pitiful contracts have NO teeth and ALLOW them to do what they do. I certainly think ALPA needs a whole new set of AGRESSIVE attorney's, not those who come up with such weak contracts TIME AFTER TIME. But you are right.........this is one of the ONLY careers where you seem to go backwards more than forwards.:o Hang in there, we'll get you back soon.

Oh, please! We are talking the airlines here. Sometimes I think they like to use the communist method: plan 5 years out then the next week they are so screwed up they can't figure out what to do.

At CAL, the only thing I expect ever is no hiring or no recalls until I see it. They like to run this staff so lean and treat the crews like slaves in the summer to only graciously offer COLAs and reduced flying the rest of the year as a reward for the all the hard work. Of course that reward comes with a reduction in pay.
