Per the LUAL Furloughee update 19, the responses were due to the latest 93 offers by March 22nd... Anyone heard anything or care to share whether they accepted or not ?

Reference the Furlough #17 update, it appears that 1068 offers have been made. What I didn't gather from the update is the number of how many have accepted positions in total since L-CAL began offering positions. Any ideas? 180, or so?

curious
As of 03/15/12 just over 200 accepted. Does not include responses from the last batch of letters sent out for the May class...

I don't know what the latest acceptance numbers were, but according to Charlie V this morning: after the May 1 class of 20 there will be a May 15 class of 4 followed by one class of 4 each month throughout the summer. He said that many of these spots will be filled by returning military and previous bypassers, but he did send out 23 more offer letters today. Not sure what DOH that makes it to, but it does signify a change in plans from no training at all during the summer to at least some training.

Citation D,

1. Who is Charlie V?
2. Is this reliable info?
3. I have been recalled to CAL but am trying to delay return but was told there were no later classes after May 7th (737). If there are I might ask again.

Thanks

If you are a LUAL furloughee who has been offered a new hire position at LCAL, Charlie is the guy it probably came from. He's in charge of the new hire program and gets his numbers directly from manpower planning, but he will be quick to tell you this information is in constant flux.

As of yesterday morning, they were planning on continuing training on a limited basis through the summer as I described earlier. Of course that plan could have changed multiple times since then. If you want in a summer class, I would suggest you call the number on your job offer letter asap.

Sorry, used the wrong terminology. I've been on the COLA offered in '08, rolled it into a personal LOA which expires May 1st. Asked for any extension possible and was told if there was a later class than May 7th I could have it.

Question; out of curosity, if you take the "job" at CAL and do not get "recalled" to UAL before the ISL is completed, are you technically still at just a "job" with CAL or are you now "recalled" then at UAL?

I would think once there is a JCBA (maybe in 2-4 years) you would be considered recalled (just not able to exercise your final seniority rights).?. That's a good question.
