The current furloughed Legacy UAL pilots are strike breakers? You must be delirious from taking too many VJM assignments. Fly Safe.

Cloud,

These anonymous keyboard tough guys aren't worth it. Like somebody said, don't feed the troll. Just a few clowns on here who aren't even pilots compensating for some mental or ego deficiency.

Think about it? What kind of low life do you have to be to accuse the furhloughees who have been busting their butts like real men and women to make ends meet of being strikebreaking scabs?

It just screams pathetic and failed.

If anything, perhaps we could get this suffering soul some meds or professional attention.

I can't imagine there is a single United furloughee flying at Continental that would cross a picket line.

When does the May new hire class start? Is there only one in May?

Nothing new really. Last I heard may 15 class with 4 in it and one class a month after that with 4 in it.

Chatter about UAL recall in fall but nothing more than chatter except latest SSC report did lend some credence to the rumor.

Some PI rumbling out at IAH recently about increased class sizes beyond 4 but nothing more than that and no confirmation from anybody in the know, which the way airlines run is probably about 5 people and even they aren't sure.

We have heard very little out of AC or any other usual soured regarding anymore significant recalls or new hire opportunities this summer, so one gets the distinct impression they are hunkering down and going to work with the manpower they have.

However, keep in mind there are 165 vacancies on the table at CAL already and if indeed the UAL side does truly recall this fall it creates even more openings on the CAL side, albeit going into the slower winter months.

Either way, one thing is certain: UCH needs to get it's act together and stop the slide in performance in order to truly compete with Delta and if US/AA combine....watch out.
