UAL/CAL Merger - Lets get back on Track
#72
A special thanks to the United douche on a Dulles layover that talked crap to the FO I'm flying with. It happened on a previous trip, but was all about profit sharing and how you didn't get something we did. He wouldn't let up. You have a problem? Talk to your union. We had profit sharing every year. The company dragged their feet and it expired due to their delays. Sure we should have had better language. It did not dilute the pool. And you who think so are using what your guess of how the system works vs reality. Learn about it. Or the Ual captain who berated one of our jumpseaters about profit sharing. I spent mine on completely fun and frivolous stuff! Thanks. I'm tired of this unity stuff when nothing I hear is arrogance and wild attempts at seniority grabs. 1500 furloughed for the cal merger? Ok. Or was it the LCC merger? Or was it the economy, or 911 or contract 2000 or whatever. I'm done. We all get a vote. That's where the unity is.

I most say that my interactions have all been cordial, professional and very welcoming...That is not to say that we don't have a few whack jobs on either side....

I have been going out of my way to welcome the new UAL pilots to our fold. I've helped several find crashpads in EWR, taught them how to navigate our CCS, and answered any questions they have about our "ops". And then I come on here and am continutally berated and called childish names. Seems a few on here really need to grow up and start ACTING like professional pilots. Guess I'm not entitled to express my opinions on here but others are. Some unity..............

"1437 pilots have NO CAREER EXPECTATIONS when they are UNEMPLOYED! You don't understand that? Basic 101 stuff. BTW, how much longevity do you accrue when you're unemployed? My guess is ZERO.................."
Simply eye-watering that you've gone to such staggering lengths, good on ya' EWR, way to "turn" the corner in regard to your concern for your UAL "brethren"...simply astonishing I must say...
So, how much credibility should one accrue in the collective "eyes" of one's peers whilst spewing vitriolic drivel and engaging in behaviors akin to acting like a tool?...not so much. That's just the bytch of digitial media...leaves those pesky threads and orphaned "thoughts" to be viewed and revisited at will...

SHAZZZAMMM!!! Well shooeee, golly geez...can't imagine why you may be the "focus" of anything less than exemplary and favorable treatment given your previous disposition (regarding UAL guys) in YOUR OWN WORDS, from a previous post no less!:

Career expectations while you're furloughed has NOTHING to do with the way you treat people. (Probably does at UAL though). Are you really that fricking dense? Seriously. BTW you're going to be surprised at how many want "relative seniority" integration at CAL....and I'm thinking it's probably around 95% if not more. How's that grab you whor@-hey? Guess all of us will be struck from your XMAS card list now, right?

I'm sure you are aware that "relative seniority" is not one of anchors to which the attorney's and arbitrators will be basing their arguments on. It's not part of the M&I guidance.
Your statement sounds more like a flame post than a true observation. If it is a fact that this is a "want" of "95%" of CAL pilots, then many will be VERY disappointed with the SLI.
Relative seniority is a windfall for at least 30% of the pilots at CAL. Windfalls are not allowed under the guidance given to the arbitrator.
Don't be so sure about your percentages either. There are quite a few CAL pilots near the top that want DOH. How much power do you think those individual wield with your merger committee?
Thanks for the assist with the new guys. I'm sure they appreciate it.
Good luck to us all.

I can understand how someone might have heartburn with being placed lower on the list than someone who was hired 7-10 years after they were. Outside of this blow to the ego, I can't see how anything BUT relative seniority is fair to all parties. Seems that with relative seniority all involved will be affected negatively, but if DOH is factored in, the UAL pilots will benefit at the expense of the CAL side. Please explain how relative seniority will benefit 30% of the CAL side.
