If Delta has it and we didn't get it, then that is going to be one more item where this TA is not "industry leading". With this company's current financial health, capital position and cash reserves, "the pie" is more than adequate for senior and junior wants/needs.
The biggest reason we won't get it in my opinion is fear and how it would effect the SLI, although it should not matter.

I know no matter what happens though there will be pilots on both sides blaming the other's MEC for their lot in life going forward.

Furloughs and seniority.
Just an historical FYI thing here.
I am not sure of today’s agreements but I do know that back in the day (my day) on the railroads, there was absolutely no confusion of any ones seniority.
During furloughs you maintained your place on the seniority list; period.
(until your recall rights expired)
Retro pay was distributed based on work during the amendable period; period.
Seniority was sacrosanct with no “warm and fuzzies” built into the contract.
It was understood that protection of any group for any reason regardless of why or what it was called, was in fact a restriction of seniority.
Moving any line is easy, the complicated part is always where to set it back down.
As a side note, maybe for the future, it might be interesting to know, they had national agreements then under a single union, as an example there was SUNA, Switchmans Union of North America (You did not carry seniority from one RR to another). And over the years dealing with interpretation issues, they actually built scenarios into the contract with the interpretation and the consequence of a violation (by the company) spelled out. Imagine that.

Absolutely yes we get our longevity restored, period.
We pound on the table, stand and shout, whatever it takes.
The abuse of the furloughees by our "union", the company or this pilot group has gone on for FAR TOO LONG. There are two thousand one hundred and seventy two of us and it's time we demand to be treated fairly.
I'm through with asking.

I would love to be proved wrong. But I have no faith in our union actually representing the bottom 20% for a change. They said as much at our last recall.
We all know it's all about the guys at the top.
If they don't give it to us I will not be paying my ALPA dues and will campaign that all the junior pilots do the same.

No longevity and I resign from ALPA. I can not with a good heart continue to support the organization after 25+ years. Will I scab, HELL NO. Will I continue to pay dues to this organization, nope. Yes I know I'll have to pay a maint fee.
