This isn't a slam, but could you please elaborate on exactly how the cal mec twisted the ual mec into inserting something in the jcba that would somehow help the cal pilots?

Your guys had the leverage and they used it. Multiple times.

Simple. They just folded their arms, put their feet on the desk, and said "this is how it's going to be. Don't like it? Tuff sh1T. We have aircraft orders, were hiring....we can wait FOREVER. Can You? Who needs an SLI."

I am really sorry to hear this. You guys are woefully unprepared for what's coming at you after you assume control of the combined group. What you have described is management's first response to any issue.

I guess he's ignoring the fact that JH, JP, and the NC Chairs said the LOA 25 bs happened because the company refused to pay full longevity. Good thing sled was one of the biggest cheerleaders for this POS contract. Hard to see how his outrage translated toward actual action in obtaining full longevity.

Don't you ever ask yourself why UCH preferred growing the CAL side as much as possible while also reaping the benefit of delaying a jcba in a mutual rewarding fashion which allowed Jeff to delay the JCBA and CAL pilots to grow well over 2 years past the merger date. The ridiculous part is CAL pilots complaining about retro while they were happy stalling negotiations to help their SLI position and Jeff at the same time...nice. Read JPs remarks from last spring after JH had enough and requested a release from this unfair process. I will take my chances with the new reps!

I was talking about pay banding, retro pay, and to a certain extent, furlough longevity. I guess my cheerleading worked! Enjoy your new contract that WE voted in.

So in theory if a high ranking MEC member said this at an ALPA meeting. And in theory they thought everyone in the room was a CAL pilot. And again (just in theory) there was a double furloughed UAL pilot who wanted to take detailed notes. And in theory he didn't write very fast. And also again in theory he used his smartphone and recorded these exact things being said. Then once again, totally in theory and not proven, this recording was given to someone on the UAL side.....
I mean "in theory" you are right, he is a comedian and dreamer.
But I wonder, if all the things that were done to skew the SLI and these were admitted to, plus all the things mentioned, were actually recorded.....
I wonder what the arbitrator would think about that and if he would reward that type of behavior.
Once again this is all in theory.
