Interview Calls & Hiring Predictions

2.5 years ago...retired mil...did no sim or interview prep. I'm here. Not intending to imply I'm amazing or anything...just saying that maybe its not all it's cracked up to be. The only reason I didn't is because I was called so quickly. I tried but they couldn't fit me in.

Highly recommend interview prep...They all target specific airlines for you and help you organize your stories and prioritize what you need to get across in your 45-60 minute window.
If you can prioritize Aviate, Navigate, Communicate, and you can memorize about 8 pitch/power settings and the callouts they provide, you will do fine without sim prep.
But then again, if there's any doubt in your mind, $1200 might be money well spent for some peace.

Thanks everyone for the input. I'm interviewing on August 28th and I'm all set up with FTI (August 27th) and Cage. If anyone else is coming in on the 27th for an interview on the 28th and wants to do the sim prep too, PM me so we can arrange to chat on the phone. After talking to FTI, there are definitely advantages we can partner up.

8/3: Initial e-mail welcoming me to the selection process.
8/5: E-mail with instructions for taking the Hogan Assessment
8/5: Hogan Assessment Complete
8/6: E-mail inviting me to interview with a link to schedule my interview online.
8/28: Interview
With hiring picking up I speculate that the time from app submission to welcome e-mail will not be as long as it has been if you have what they're looking for and they select you to start the interview process.

Great, thanks for the quick replies.
I'm just at the beginning of the process (OMG that app...). I do have a good job now, but have been thinking of sticking my foot in the water. As my friend said, it's only a decision once you're faced with the offer.
That mountain of work ahead.....
