Best of luck, and remember they are very happy to have you there so just try and be yourself and relax. Easier said than done I know.
Absolutely right. They asked me if I had copies of my resume right off the bat. I had one-pagers and a three page CV and asked which they preferred. They took the one-pager. Bring a copy for yourself, you can use it as a cheat sheet if you lock up.
Good luck.

Posting for a friend who interviewed last week.

Does anyone know the format for notifying new pilots of a CJO? In the past the board met on Wednesdays and calls were made on Wed-Thurs...with bad news emails out on Friday. He interviewed last week Wednesday with the new format interview. He has received nothing so far. I told him no news is good news...but told him I'd throw the question to the wolves as well. I also told him the CEO departure along with new format training may delay notifications. Thanks in advance for input.

CEO departure....lol....that won't affect training notifications at all. Heck, we haven't heard a peep out of the new guy yet. The old guy had 0 input/affect on the actual operation. He just showed up in the Safety demo and hid his face to anyone not a yes man.

Where did you put volunteer work that was not related to a job on your app?

I put it in the employment history and put salary of $0 with the obvious descriptions. Anyone else find somewhere better?

I know of a few people who have did it that way for volunteer work that was continuous/ongoing.

Most people I know, myself included, put volunteer work under "My Employment/Misc." where it says "Please list any employment awards and achievements:"

I was told at a recent United job fair to put it in BOTH. Especially if you have volunteer experience within your current job (ie Union work).

Hi,

Congrats to all selected fellow aviators and good luck to the ones in the process, Can someone shed light and experience on how long from filling out the app to getting a call?

Thanks

There is no specific answer to that question.

It all pretty much depends where your application is sorted within the pile based on it's relative merits.

There might be a "pilot shortage" at the regional level but UAL is not suffering a dearth of competitive pilot applications. (Yet.)

I've got my employment history listed all the way back to my first aviation related job. Do I need to add non-aviation related employment history? This would be over fifteen years ago.
