I met a 2005 LCAL guy who got the 737 Captain seat in DEN before the SLI. He was moving there and buying a big house. I tried to explain the bump risks, but he thought "no bump, no flush" meant that he could never lose his Captain seat.
No need to argue. I knew he'd figure it out eventually.
Now he knows.
Probably need 20 years to hold the left seat in DEN after all this settles.

not trying to be negative, just a realist. I don't have a dog in the hunt anymore for Denver. I took a bump out to another base on the last round. Denver is mostly dead for my seniority 18+ years. Had a good time and good people here, just seems to be the ever shrinking domicile.
