Displacement bid out
#242
Your attitude completely invalidates any worthwhile comments you may have. No dog in the fight here, as a post merger hire, but don't blame those guys for bidding what was available to them at the time, you would have done the same thing.
I am guessing FO sick time goes up markedly whichever left seat you displace to.

Sled's "look out below" comments, while divisive, help him feel better about spending most of his adult life trying to sit in the left seat in Denver and then a relatively junior CAL guy slides in to that seat with a fraction of the seniority. Instead of blaming crap management, he helps management by aiding to drive a wedge between the two pilot groups. I have learned to pay about as much attention to his comments as a senior citizen or transient that stumbles onto BART burting out obscenities. Undoubtably hoss will come to the defense of the old man because they are essentially in the same boat. We get it, you got screwed by the big U. It will be fricken forever to hold left seat in Denver. Us "new hires" will probably get screwed at some point in the future too. Listening to you old turds now is what makes this place crappy right now.

Young lads, it's nothing more than the seniority list righting itself. It took three years for the CAL pilots to acquire the captain seats in lopsided bids and it will take another three for the list to correct itself via bids and bumps.
Sled and Hoss saw it coming. Wisdom trumps youth and inexperience. Time to remove those rose colored glasses you donned the first morning you said hello to security guard at TK sporting that blue suit and red tie.

i'm not trying to be cool. And other than a few beers with dinner hours ago, I'm not hitting the bottle. Although I should. The displacements in Denver are going DEEP. It's not over yet. Nobody likes to have their life turned upside down. And I don't need an NFG telling me what's what. The "look out below" applies to me and others who have been flying here a long time. It is what it is. That is all. Good luck.

Wisdom and tact are two very different things. It speaks to a man's character that it's not enough to enjoy being right that he has to put others down while showing it. I have no problem agreeing they were right, but who wants to listen anymore when you have wade through such arrogance to find a revelation?
I learned more from those who simply said, you'll figure it out for yourself.
