New 100 seater??

But what's in it for us? (Seriously.)
It's not like we need permission to pick up cancelled orders nor were Republic pilots very receptive to "flow" when the current was moving the other direction.
Just saying.
(p.s. I would be receptive to granting slightly preferential interviews as long as the interviewers were 100% furloughed UA pilots who were graciously offered "new hire" opportunities at Republic.)

There's no reason for us to take their orders...and even if we did, why would the pilots of another company get anything in return? If it's an acquisition of existing aircraft it may be reasonable. What does their contract say about this subject?

The C300 isn't considered a NSNB because it's basically the same capacity as the A319 or 737-700. We need them to bring the 100-110 seat jet to mainline.
As far as pay rates go, we already have E190 and E195 rates so they can order those planes with no discussions. I can't imagine they would delay an order because of the lack of negotiated pay rates. CBA 3-J covers everything about new aircraft types.

"United Airlines plans to order a fleet of 100-seat jetliners from either Bombardier Inc. or Embraer SA if it can agree on terms for a two-year contract extension with pilots in expedited bargaining."
Just as Delta dangled that almost same carrot in front of their pilots for a TA. The 20 E190s and 40 737ERs most likely could have been added without TA ratification (I'm sure the 737, not sure E190 as I don't know their contract), but management dangled it in front of them. And your second to last sentence...delta did exactly that, they cancelled all 60 aircraft.
I will wait to judge any extension until actually reading it, but just because the company can do things now, doesn't mean they won't use what they could do as leverage or a bargaining tool. They could give us lots of things without amending a contract, but that hurts their negotiations. New airplanes on property is one of those bargaining chips, no matter how they get defined in the CBA.

I think you are missing the carrot they will be dangling. Its been in the media already.

Why chase a carrot that's not really a carrot?

It could, but I highly doubt it. Flows usually only get negotiated for wholly owned carriers. I honestly prefer to let everyone have an equal chance (may not seem that way to those wanting to get an interview), and give us (United Pilots/Company) the chance to pick from the entire pool, not just from a small portion.

Why does it matter? Just get the effing jets on mainline property flown by mainline pilots!!!!!!!
Ask ANY pilot that's hand his ass handed to him in this career (I fall in that category) what their favorite plane to fly is?
"The one I'm getting paid to fly......"
Wait, are you talking about Bombardier or Boeing?

Don't have any doubt, ALPA National will be negotiating any scope changes for us UAL pilots under their National Policy. We have no say in this what so every. This is not new.
Now is a good time to leave this Archaic, Worthless, Good for nothing Union. Are you ready to sign a card? Or keep wasting bullets on a Dead Horse.

Why would United need to give anything up to get Republic's C Series positions? Bombardier is desperate to sell these airplanes, and delivery slots are likely not an issue for the right customer / order. United can just order directly from Bombardier.
