UPS 2023 Hiring
#163
Are they doing this without the normal "hey, it's a new year, you have to reapply"? I have someone that applied about a year ago that now has more time and looks better than before, but there hasn't been a way to update in a while.
I'm told he was looking good when he checked his status, everything was active ( I think that's the good one), with green checkmarks and green locks on everything when hiring stopped. He took a look now after and it's all but "thanks for applying, try again some other time". At least that's his takeaway. He had a phone number/email for a recruiter who isn't responding, and no one's been able to get any intel out of the hiring office. Typical of this place.

Could be wrong but I think people who are getting resume reviews now are those that submitted an app in the short Dec window. There have been reports of erroneous or confusing emails going out, but HR generally only pulls from the most recent window.

Can only speak from my experience. Initially applied in the July 2022 window. Resume review and Hogan happened in December. Then got the "reapply after 1 Jan" email. I did and got an email about 2 weeks ago to schedule my interview for 23 March. YMMV, but it seems like they are trying to get caught up.

RST Facebook group says that they’re starting to prepare candidates for interviews again and that candidates are being told they hope to start up training again in the summer. It’s on the internet, so you know it’s true.

Assuming hiring starts back this summer, looking for opinions. I’ve been a poolie since 1 Nov 22. I start at Delta on 4 Apr. Previous to this hiring slowdown and Delta’s contract (when I interviewed last Oct), I was leaning more UPS. However, now I’m wondering if it’d be worth it to leave Delta (albeit only for a few months) considering current trends/contract. We‘ve started looking at relocating to ATL area, but would probably do that for SDF if I went to UPS. BL, I’d live in either domicile. Correct me if I’m wrong, but these are the biggest detractors: circadian flips/backside of clock, slow progression, Pilot/company relationship, 1st year pay. Am I missing any other considerations?
