Per today’s 2nd quarter numbers volume in June was down 9.9% vs 2022 and profit margin has slipped to a little over 11%. We are only making $660,000,000 per month instead of the usual $1,000,000,000 per month. Unless volume markedly increases, I’d say we are still on track for a early 2024 system bid.
21 VLOA (off without pay, but full benefits for the 56 day bid period)
45 RDG (Reduced Guarantee lines, basically half pay for half work)
I see a system bid as well, but not one that generates new hire classes, another reshuffle of the deck chairs.

BLUF: If you are going to spend decades at a company, it’s the long haul profitability and stability that matters, not fast upgrades.
I understand why someone would bail to Delta or United right now. However, we are “struggling” right now and our financial numbers compare very nicely with Delta which just set records for their profitability.Delta June Quarter 2023 GAAP Financial Results
