Pay/A fund/benefits have been far greater at UPS the last 10 years. QOL not so much. With the pay being about equal now at the legacies, most of the guys I know would stay at their legacy if given the choice today.
There has to be an underlying reason for pilots today besides the grass is greener. Someday, they'll realize it's because the grass is on the septic tank.

UAL, $85+$131+$153 (757)+$161(767)+$165(767) = $139 Avg over 5 yrs + 16% B-fund ($22) over 5 yr = $161 Avg pay over 5 years
UPS, $45+171+171+174+178=$147 Avg over 5 Yrs + 12% B-Fund ($18) Avg over 5 yrs = $165.
Variables:
1. UAL Profit Sharing Avg %15,for how long??
2. A Fund, Its well funded but!!!
3. Upgrade times at UAL VS UPS
4. QOL as a junior 73 UAL guy then UPS 75/A300 guy. Either Seat.
5. Amazon
6. NAI
7. RJ upsizing (90 Seaters)
8. ME3
9. Air Asia type ULCC expansion in Pacific
10. ULCC in US such as Spirit and Allegiant.
Having been on both sides of the fence, I like being to go pee when I want and not dealing with FA and ticket agents. I still think young guys should go to DAL or UAL, its just a kinder environment.

UPS f/o pay for a person hired today would look like:
44.72 175.72 181.23 190.42 200.15 204.03, topping out at 239.38.
For W-2 wages, move the decimal three places to the right, and add the greed/laziness/seniority factor of 5%-35%.

When Pigs Fly,
I just spent Friday with 5 of my Delta buddies. Every last one of them would change places with me..they all made Captain after 17 years, on the 737, no A-Plan, PBS and when I told them about our OCV deal they told me stop talking!
Need to get out more..
