12-3 schedule? What a joke, who would go work and do that when there are so many decent places hiring. With a terrible schedule and pretty low pay, I would definitely be looking at other places. And you say, "well its the only the first year and then it goes to 10-5." Well 10-5 isnt even that good and captains making somewhere in the 60s? That's pretty below average also. I dont really see any positives. Trust me there is alot better out there.

It is a stepping stone job. Get in, get your hours, get out. They know and are ok with people using them to move up in their careers. Or don't. You can go fly a freight dog, work the backside of the clock, fly crappy aircraft that no one else flies. Or you can go the EAS, get time in the fastest selling corporate jet in the world and get hired by someone that will pay well. Your call.

Sounds like management put that in your head lol. If you can get a job at Airshare, you can go get a job at TMC or Jetsuite, make more money and have more time off. The only reason Airshare gets away with paying poverty wages and working you like a slave, is because people apply, and take jobs there.

Jetsuite you have to live west coast or PBI. You couldn't pay me enough to live in either of those spots. TMC is a 135. They make their money chartering airplanes and you will work every day of your rotation. AirShare is far from perfect, but for someone from the Midwest that doesn't want to move its an OK gig. I'm on the 10/5 schedule. Sounds horrible but I work less than all of my airline buddies (yes mainline guys) most months. We have a really young pilot group which keeps it fresh. People can go to AirShare and be Captain on a Phenom 300 in short time or they can go to NetJets and be a lifer FO on a 300. I'll quietly sit by making pretty good money until the next best thing comes around.

Titos summed up exactly how most feel about this place including myself. As far as our 'crap on-call schedule' I've been here almost 2 years and have only got called out maybe 3-4 times. No one here is glued to their phones, it's the exemption rather than the rule to work on standby days.
Just sayin, 10/5 might sound rough but I get way more time off than I did at the regionals and make as much as a regional captain. For anyone looking to come here don't let trolls like this guy stop you... This place has plenty of room for improvement but the majority of us like our job.

Honest question. I interviewed in April and it went well. Got a call 1.5 weeks later from AF offering me the job except that there was no position at the moment. Something they weren't expecting happened internally and he thought it was only going to be a 1-3 month wait until something opened up.
I got a message from him on Friday. I couldn't call him back and will do so tomorrow, but it sounded like he was just checking in/touching base. It did sound like they might be running a class in June. This was for a Phenom 100 PIC slot.
Currently I've been at a regional for 3 years now and am very close to upgrade. I'm 24 away right now. I don't know what to do anymore. I know there have been improvements with the pay scale and 10-5, but it still seems to lag behind other fractional companies. I do want to go to a legacy in a few years and this is PIC time here albeit 135 and not 121. I don't hate my airline and have wanted to get into corporate, but it's one of those deals you won't know until you do it...
Any insight or advice/guidance would be greatly appreciated it. Thank you very much.
