Some good news.. Revisions of the P&P have allowed for those SIC's coming in to receive a type rating and complete their ATP. The P&P states it will be in the cheaper of the two training sessions you receive and closer to the expiration of the written. So for instance if your position is to fly the phenom 300 and 100 they would pay for your type in the 100. Also if you do not have a complete written before the rule change they will pay for the ATP/CTP. There are talks of a "retention" plan in the form of a possible 10 and 5 company wide schedule as well as raises across the board. VSIpegged may have it right though. They are behind and scheduling has actually had to turn down flights due to a shortage of pilots. So moving everyone to a 10/5 would require excess pilots in comparison to now. There seems to be hope and talk of the decisions happening within the month.
Is the type-rating a full PIC type or just SIC?
What does the current schedule look like?

Even Wheels Up will be better when it finally institutes 8/6 (October?). Exec Airshares and TMC will likely bleed more pilots until they come in line with the terms offered by their growing competitors......... Even the regionals are looking more attractive with their faster upgrade times for people with the hours.

Rumors are saying pay raise around $10k more across the board with a retention such as more than the current 3% raise per year. So yes SIC's would be closer to $45k, and all captain pays bumps.. The type rating they are now allowing SIC's to obtain are the full PIC type in the cheaper of the two aircraft to be trained on. Current schedule is 12-3 for SIC's. Captains are at 12-3 for the first 18 months then a 10-5 after that. Supposedly that is being addressed as well. Nothing official yet

In all seriousness, my educated guess is that any improvement to pay will be minimal at best, and will not even put a dent in attrition. Just look at who is running the company. The COO used to run regional airlines, that should tell you everything you need to know about his views on pilot pay. The CEO is a very decent guy from what I know of him, but he's not going to support handing out big salary increases, since he has to answer to the board/investors. And the most ludicrous of all is the former CEO, who actually still believes that the company is doing pilots some huge favor just by employing them. Until those three open up their eyes, nothing significant will change.

I can't tell if your post was intended to be a bit sarcastic, but no company is going to change their operating model just because prospective pilots call and ask them to. There are plenty of other places that offer home basing. Those places also have their own sets of pros and cons. It all depends on what you're looking for in an employer.

I just read that someone asked for an update and I was saying what the rumor on the street has been. There may be credibility to it or it may be worthless information but as far as an update that's the closest information out right now. Management had a pilot retention meeting but otherwise it's a shot in the dark.

Simply put they will have to raise the offered compensation. $36k to be an SIC is not enough in today's market, and it is not enough to attract applicants who already have some jet time but no ATP certficate like me. Some of the regionals nowadays pay just as much as AirShare and upgrade time there can equal or be quicker than at EAS. If FO pay were bumped up to around $50k, I would reconsider, but anything less than that it isn't worth it with so many other opportunities at the regionals and 135 gigs like TMC opening their doors....
It sounds like maybe something that I would do just for a year to get jet time upon reaching 135 IFR minimums, then off to something bigger (kind of like my present 135 gig). The days where pilots are treated unfairly are gone or soon about to be long gone, thank heavens.
