JetBlue hedging program has always lagged behind other carriers. During the 2007 time frame neeleman refused to hedge based on the board believe the 140 barrel price would drop to 40.
When an airline spends 50 million per year on mismanaged IROP's of course they will complain about wages. Add to that a failed 190 engine maint program which cost the airline upwards of 20 million last year.
The hardest idea to wrap my brain around is how does the BOD continue to support a management team who clearly seems over their head.
We can all argue about pricing structures and fees but managements job at its most basic level is running an efficient airline. JetBlue management has been unable to do this since the airlines inception. IROP's happen seasonally and with each one the cost seems to increase. Managements response is always that they will get better while crying to the investors about cost creep.

Airline managements have complained about costs for decades.. Nothing new! Our management just has to do better at managing, especially IROPS. Those of you coming here just realize we are getting close to entering section 6 negotiations and the word cost will eventually be said weekly. Our negotiating committee will have to play the game with this management. I strongly believe we will not get all of what we want and deserve. However the company is turning profits and growing at the same time. As long as that continues we will make improvements in many areas during negotiations. It is just going to take a LONG time. Welcome.

I have been envolved in the hiring process for quite a while pre 2010 and yes there we have used HR staff normally dedicated to FA hiring, some of them even used to be a FA and moved into HR. However I know the few that where doing it and I am 100% sure you are either flame baiting or flat out mistaken.
You are apparently a brand new JetBlue employee. What has been your "envolvement" (really?) in the hiring process pre 2010? In what capacity? Please, explain to us.
Are you telling me that I don't know, or was lying about my own interview experience at JetBlue?
Please, explain to all of us exactly what you are talking about.
Thanks.
And yes, everyone, for the record:
I was interviewed by a Captain and a FA, regardless of what this troll claims to know.
