It is picking back up to 80 a month. The plan all along has been to hire about 1000 pilots for the year. We will reach that number. There will always be more hired in the spring to staff the big upswing in summer flying. 84 a month is what they need to hire to get around 1000 for the year.

Stay as flexible as possible, gang. Easier said than done, I know. Unless they are at absolute maximum capacity, training plans can and will change rapidly. When I got the CJO in early 2014, the expected wait time was 8-9 months. Within about 1.5 months of the CJO, my total wait collapsed to a total of 3 months, i.e., I got about 45 days notice to get to class.

More info from sources in training is that hiring will ramp back up at some point to 110 a month for next summer's flying but expect 40/month through the end of 2015 (subject to change). Next AE should be released next week and will be large.
