Your correct. Qantas picked up those five airframes this week. They are going to a subsidiary.

Yes there are quite a few SSP folks who are going to class in August or Sept. who interviewed late 2014, that have never received the CTT email.

Do you have source?

This article is from Tuesday says we are getting 3 of them.

I emailed back the original source but have not heard back. Did a internet search and Qantas did announce getting 2 more 717's on Monday. I hope it stays like that and we get the other 3. All 5 airframes are from Blue 1.

Overheard indoc instructor saying small classes through the end of the year. However, he did say they may possibly do more smaller classes instead of fewer big ones. Hallway talk so take it with a grain of salt.

To new hires recently off probation -- are you off once you do your 3rd chief pilot meeting and then tick off that 400th hour? Other than ALPA dues beginning, any concrete method to show you're off probation? Letter? Icrew sign-off? Ticker tape parade? Gold watch? Or just dues and captains no longer prompted to fill out reviews?

I had my last CP visit like you refer to on Wednesday. I was told doesn't matter if you're airborne or on the ground, the moment you cross 400 you're off probation. The only other thing he said that takes place is some paperwork we never see happen.

You are contractually off at the 400 hour point. For any new hire out there keep in mind that the standard for termination is not any different on or off probation. The company must have cause. Delta has one of the lowest if not the very lowest overall termination rate. In many years it's zero.
