no. Just study for the ATP written if you still have to do that. If not, get your affairs at home in order so you can focus on training. Learn things the way the company wants you to learn them. I appreciate the willingness to get ahead, but unlearning something you memorized because of a lack of context is even harder. It’s doable, just trust the process. Do the homework you get sent home with each day with the class, and then flash cards for memory items and limitations.

Indoc and Systems are easy. Study CPT like mad. Had several classmates make it all the way to CPT and bombed. They were given 2nd chances and still Bombed. CPT you must have down pat. Flows and calls. No mistakes. No excuses. It will also make sims that much easier. Remember ZW has very high standards in the Sims. 5000 hour corporate pilots bombed the sims at ZW due to their unnatural inability to fly and do CPT correctly. Don't worry about Indoc or Systems. Get your $%^& in gear for CPT. You can buy me a beer later.
Ok, CPT is the point where you start separating the boys from the men. The reason why the higher time pilots failed is because they did not want to change the way they did things. (My CPT partner in 2017 was 63 years old). He bombed because of his attitude not because of his ability. If you’ve never flown jets before than you don’t know how to do it wrong or right so just listen to the instructor. I did not have my flows down pat and I made it through. I’ve been a captain for two years. ZW has high standards. You can’t bull**** your way through training.

My post was in regard to whether bringing a car to Appleton was worth it for those of us who have a long drive, not griping about travel in general. Maybe read the context before you post. I have my ATP and have worked as an airline pilot, but thanks for your concern.

True. Because every line captain cares about different stuff as well. If you can run the radios at ORD and flare without scaring me, I don’t really care about anything else. But, that’s me. The training will prepare you to fly with me,.... and every other CA.

Can anyone at AW comment on average credit hours per month when things were normal? I know 75 is MMG, but just wondering what the average lineholder or reservist might credit on an average month, without picking up or dropping anything. Also what's an approximate max credit hours if you did pick up and try to work a lot. Thanks
Avg 110-115
playing tha game, 125-135
Highest as an FO: 161 13 days off

hahahahahaha. Average with not working any overtime is no where near 110-115, maybe picking up a few extra trips, how the heck did you get to 150+ with 13 days off? Pre-covid 80% of the lines had 12-13 days off with 85-90 hours, how did you manage to get to get 70 hours more pay without working any extra days? Only thing I can think of is getting paired with a LCA and getting bought off multiple trips

question was in regard to not working extra, critical trips haven’t been a thing for FOs for 3 years. They sprinkle in randomly but not enough to give someone working a normal schedule the opportunity to pick up 30 hours worth of critical for 60 hours of pay per month especially with the limited junior mans on the FO side
