I call absolute BS that you knew this in 2005. So much has transpired in that 11+ year span that would make knowing how this is currently being played out impossible to predict. Over-exaggerating isn't helping your position.

But knowing that you better have 2015 marked on your calendar when you fly for a company that secured their ten year deal (with a two year extension) on the basis of a very large loan to their mainline partner isn't.

To know in 2005 exactly what would be happening in 2017 is a bit of a stretch.

That was the wise play. No one hired around your time frame, including me, ever intended to be lifers and did what they could to move on. That doesn't make you an oracle. It makes you wise beyond your years.

I wish the AWAC guys luck but more especially the guys actively trying to get out. It's painful to hear their stories.

You're wrong. Every other airline interviews ALL of their applicants. American is the only one that doesn't. During that interview your experience, merits, and well.. YOU.. are discussed and evaluated. All that stuff is skipped with a guaranteed no-interview flow.. Do you disagree?
I'm sure that most Envoy pilots will do great once they move to different places. It's the same company, same employee number and there are different set of rules for those after the protected pilots to be able to flow.
AA can see Envoy pilots training and attendance records with their employee number. That's the way YOU ARE BEING EVALUATED during your regional flying. Also if you get fired or quit from one of the WO and they check "not rehirable", you're done with AA Mainline also.

The envoy hiring standards were very high until mid 2015. The AA interview it was a breeze compared to the envoy tech, sim and HR. Also heard from various friends that flew over that training over Envoy is harder than AAs.

That being said, there are bad apples that have gotten through everywhere recently, but for the most part, I see them washing out multiple places.

Tell me, what part of that "evaluation" is being used to determine whether a person can flow or not??? Once their seniority number is called, they flow no questions asked. Is that not correct? Unless you're telling me there are performance criteria required to flow which are evaluated while you're at the WO? If not, everything you just said is pointless.
