I like to check up in the forums from time to time. Not being a troll, just interested in what happens. I still have good friends still there and hope the best for everyone.

Some previous AWAC employees (myself included) only left because of the uncertain future and a family to support. I would hope you can understand and respect that.

In the meantime, I got rerouted 3 times today... blocked 8 on a 12 hour day. Bidding no longer has a meaning, line holders are now essentially reservists. FML.

I feel terrible for you guys.. it's bull stuff that we are flying the same exact American passenger and yet all the groups are treated differently. Contract flying has to come to and end.. only mainline!

Seriously? FOD had been the voice of reason at AWAC for quite some time. He made the choice to move and I wish him the best, much like the others that moved on. The furthest thing from a troll I've ever seen... also a top notch indoc/systems instructor that dedicated his time to bettering the company. If you're looking for trolls there are plenty of worthy targets at whom to direct you anger, dude.
But if you look at the lack of communication from the top level managers; it made it difficult to sacrifice, on vague information, another year as an FO without upgrading (when every other regional had movement) with the increased pay and more importantly, the 121 PIC time that fuels career advancement.
The decision by FOs to leave AWAC or stay is not a monolithic one...its very personal and individual based on their specific situation.
Thankfully that is much easier now that the compensation is starting to catch up and much more solid, actionable information on the future of the company has been communicated.

I've seen the increased 1st year FO pay with the bonus but haven't seen anything as far as a future beyond next January or ways to fix the mobility problem. Is there some new information out there?
