I wonder where BF is going to find these "400 pilots." Still nothing coming out regarding the long term future of AWAC. That said, I suppose this press leak by ATW means we are trending in the right direction. Let's hope for something promising in the coming weeks... we may have the highest first year pay, but if you have no one to pay it too what good is it?

"We expect to hire over 400 pilots in the next two years, and this program secures our ability to recruit and retain experienced pilots capable of quickly progressing from first officer to captain."
Interesting numbers. Yes, hire 400 pilots over 2 years but currently losing ~15-20 per month, which evens out. I just hope this isn't fluff generated using current attrition numbers. Anyway, it's little more than a conveniently-phrased recruiting gag until there's flying announced. How can anyone talk about quick progression while the upgrade stands at 5+ years?
Hoping for the best, but just like with the United thing, I'm skeptical.

We have stagnated at 13 resignations this month, all of which were pre-announcement. If something long term is announced, I don't think we'll continue to see the same level of attrition. Yes, Captains will continue to move up and the occasional FO will leave for the LCCs, but I don't think you'll see the 40+ of last month. The bulk of FO bails have been lateral... announce new flying, and that should slow down. Or, on May 2nd, 80 will depart...

Juat saying that maybe they'll stick around for the first $10k and then the typical attrition will continue. Retention bonuses. The optimistic part of me hopes that something will be announced by then, but who knows... buckle up, fellas!
