Seriously? FOD had been the voice of reason at AWAC for quite some time. He made the choice to move and I wish him the best, much like the others that moved on. The furthest thing from a troll I've ever seen... also a top notch indoc/systems instructor that dedicated his time to bettering the company. If you're looking for trolls there are plenty of worthy targets at whom to direct you anger, dude.
But if you look at the lack of communication from the top level managers; it made it difficult to sacrifice, on vague information, another year as an FO without upgrading (when every other regional had movement) with the increased pay and more importantly, the 121 PIC time that fuels career advancement.
The decision by FOs to leave AWAC or stay is not a monolithic one...its very personal and individual based on their specific situation.
Thankfully that is much easier now that the compensation is starting to catch up and much more solid, actionable information on the future of the company has been communicated.

I've seen the increased 1st year FO pay with the bonus but haven't seen anything as far as a future beyond next January or ways to fix the mobility problem. Is there some new information out there?

Nothing yet... interestingly enough the Union has yet to say anything regarding the goat-rope of an announcement the other week. Luckily Bill straightened us out in his email. The distressed carrier ploy may have been nothing more than an attempt to get Management to show their hand, and I suppose it worked. Sadly, it came at the expense of those that elected to 'check the box'. Worth it? Maybe. I guess we'll see. At least the FO lines are a little better for March and the Captains are swimming in days off...

APPLETON, Wis., Feb. 9, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Air Wisconsin is excited to offer increased first officer starting pay of $35/hour as well as $33,000 in sign-on bonuses. Together these incentives are among the highest in the industry. In the first three years of employment, a new first officer will earn, at a minimum, between $201K and $242K depending on 401(k) and benefit selection.
Air Wisconsin is also increasing pilot retention bonuses that had previously been offered to its first officers up to a total of $20,000, with $10,000 payable in both May and October 2017.
These expanded incentives are a sign of Air Wisconsin's commitment to attract and retain experienced pilots and greatly compliment the other valuable benefits, which include Air Wisconsin's pilot 401(k) plan, work rules, and some of the best health insurance options in the entire industry.
"This enhanced bonus and retention program is designed to retain our current base of quality pilots and quickly build that base in order to meet our growth plans," said Bob Frisch, Air Wisconsin's Chief Operating Officer. "We expect to hire over 400 pilots in the next two years, and this program secures our ability to recruit and retain experienced pilots capable of quickly progressing from first officer to captain."
Air Wisconsin also offers a referral bonus of up to $4,000 to employees who refer new pilots.

Interesting, but still doesn't say how they are going to "quickly" progress folks from FO to captain. Also doesn't address any retention bonuses beyond October or how they will retain folks beyond the first year. $33k in signing bonus sounds good but I'd be curious to see what the breakdown is.
