lol I thought the same thing. Pretty sure the agents in Philly have no idea who United or air wisconsin are.

Then it's just an interview to see who you are and if you're someone they would like to be able to fly with for 4 days. Come in with a positive and upbeat attitude. Show them you want to be here and you'll do just fine.
Thanx junkyard

I guess by now, some sort of exit strategy must be getting put in place.

Wondering what our next dominoes will actually become? I guessing IAD and ORD. For those in ORF, I hope they can figure a way to keep ORF. But they'll have to find new crew facilities as the one in ORF is in AA operations area

I never take what those gate agents say seriously.
I'm not worried. We made the big announcement and so did United. So it's official.
At least we get to go to the big dance, unlike your Dawgs will get to go!
Ok maybe the NIT. Maybe!

The company probably surprised AA with the UA announcement and still needs to come up with a draw down plan for our AA flying. DCA will probably be the first to go this summer.

We will probably see the closure of PHL/DCA/ORF as crew bases once the transition starts, ORF will be a RON MX base only as well as MKE and CAE. The UA flying out of our AA bases is not enough to support crew bases, people who live in PHL/ORF should expect to learn how to commute. If you're butthurt about suddenly having to commute, ask the DEN/ORD guys what it was like back in 2006.

There aren't that many direct United flights between ORD and PHL, but they are on big airplanes and run about half full. The last time I visited Chicago, it was on an A320 and almost everyone had their own row. It was nice.

Really, you think AA didn't know ? AWAC's AA lift has been slowly replaced even before the announcement . The clues started when PDT moved into PHL with the Jets and eagle moved back to LGA, oh and PSA into D.C. AA knew and so did AWAC for over a year. Just because it was a surprise to us peasants doesn't mean they didn't have a plan.

The only people that knew UA was talking to ZW, were UA and ZW. So yea, it probably came as a surprise to AA that we are moving our whole fleet over to UA within a year. Flying for UA could come earlier than 02/2018, and I don't think AA was prepared for that.

AA could have been waiting for ZW to bid even cheaper flying to stay afloat after 02/2018. Yes, I'm no dummy that we have been slowly replaced by the WO's at our domiciles. But, I'm also sure that AA still wanted some lift out of us, albeit at a much lower rate than we were at, even with the extension we were on.

My post was more about the wild speculation of what our rad new domiciles will be... ASE! DEN! EWR! LAX! SFO! whatever!

As far as we have been told, its gonna be ORD and IAD so start making plans if you live near PHL, ORF or north of DCA.
Commute to live, live to commute.

My point was that AA and AWAC knew they weren't going to reach an agreement long ago hence the reason for the lack of communication from management at AWAC to its people. It wasn't a surprise to AA and AA has been working to fill our slots since they couldn't reach an agreement. I am sure ORD won't be a base . UA got rid of 700 flying out of there and increased 900 and E170. DEN for the crj200 don't think so, i would say IAD to start . Don't know what market UA is planning on reaching with AWAC's 200 but doubt it will be on the west coast.

Or, AA could have been the first one to leave the table and had a plan all along. Either way, they are prepared to carry on without ZW. They have bases everywhere we do besides ORF. I bet AA really wanted that hangar!
