Training at awac compared to other airlines here is a lot tougher than most, the training department is still mostly staffed by a bunch of "old guys" who have been there for 20 years and want the standards of pre AQP. It's passable but you will need to work hard as goes for any airline, I studied and got through it with no issues but the amount of "gee wiz" material taught and expected of you was a lot more than my now airline.

You can't answer a question with "systems logic", they want you to know what's happening when you press a switch. They won't ask about a fuel molecule passing from the fuel truck to the tail pipe, but they're not giving away type ratings by lowering their standards.
Checkrides are not easy or fun for a reason.

Presently, there are no "old guys" that I've run into, perhaps at the sim later this week. Zero "gee wiz" stuff. If you are eager to learn, do what you're told, study what they ask you to, come prepared, then life is great. Lots to study, but nothing overly taxing or complicated. There is a lot for a rookie to take in, but that's the same with any first 121. If you want to be here, have a great attitude and keep making progress they will get you through. If you are coming over from another 121 you'll do fine. Biggest challenge for me has been unlearning former company's callouts.
