You forgot marriage counselor and relationship expert. Three times is a charm.

You maintain ownership of the other names so that anyone typing Hawaiin Airlines or Alaska Airlines into their computer goes to the Jetblue website. You paint the 737's with the name JetBlue Alaska. The 717's and 787's with the name JetBlue Hawaiin. Done.
Hell alaska already has the same color scheme as JetBlue

Call it “Jet America”. That would make some of senior mamas in LAX happy!

As a B6 guy, the idea of a an AK and Hawaii merger actually sounds really interesting. It immediately gives West Coast, East Coast and Hawaii/Pacific rim access, but my biggest problem with AK is the lack of scope. The fact that there's 175s flying routes that should be on a 737 doesn't sit right with me, and not something I'd want to get into. I 100% understand the need for a turboprop service into places where a large jet can't get into, but you don't need a regional running routes like SEA-DFW, or SEA-MKE for example.

Believe me you want no part of Alaska Air Group. You are totally correct in your observations on the lack of scope. They are already subbing in Horizon and Skywest on routes flown by the airbus or 737. To provide further perspective Horizon is upgrading and hiring still while management talks of large force reductions for mainline in October.
For all of the talk of Alaska’s product I just don’t see it, not much different than anyone else’s and certainly not close to what JetBlue offers.

Well, Jetblue has 70 A220's on the books. There isn't much they can't do with a CASM as low as a 175. I don't think there has ever been a 3 way merger and I really don't think its going to happen. I do think there will be mergers when this is all done. No way does the DOT or DOJ(whoever is in charge) let American get even bigger. United and SWA are too big on the west coast to allow them to buy Alaska. Delta is too big in Seattle to allow them to buy Alaska.

SWA would probably be allowed to buy Jetblue. Very little overlap. Hoping against that one personally. Alaska and Jetblue would be allowed. Almost no overlap. Huge network. Best merger I can imagine. It would open doors to Asia flights out of Seattle and Europe flights out of JFK and BOS. Pilots don't have to get hurt in that one and at this juncture in my career, that's what I'm thinking about.

Asia and Europe would only be hypothetically possible if JetBlue management were running the show, Alaska management has no vision other than Seattle.

Alaska buying JetBlue? That would be a LOT of Airbii for Brad and Ben to scuttle!
