OTZeagle1 really is a prat. Your ego gets hurt so quickly and you are the first one to throw insults and brag about your knowledge. You love to bash the union and then make it seem like you don't blame them. Any pilot out there knows that this current situation is very dynamic and subject to change and we all know furloughs will happen and we can all do the math. And most of us are smart enough to figure out that management will use this opportunity to paint the worst outlook they can. Especially given that a CBA is up for negotiation. It is a scenario that a lot of us have witnessed play out before. The union is in the business of dealing with facts and information and data from the industry. It also has to work with the info the company provides to them and that requires a cooperative management team that provides them with current data and works with them to secure the future of the company and is willing to be transparent. That is not even close to what is happening at this airline
. Then for some prat like yourself who clearly is a ego driven management plant to come on here and tout your knowledge and spout your crap and bash the union. Well that just proves you are a management plant. For someone who claimed to be gone from this site just shows your ego can't take being gone. As for the rest of you that engage with this management plant, why? just so he can stroke his ego? throw out a few facts/ guesses or logic that we can all basically guess? We are smarter than this and should trust are union leadership and hold them accountable and ask them the tough questions. Why allow this ego driven self proclaimed millionaire to run his mouth. The union is working hard and is dealing with an uncooperative management. Lets demand that the company play ball and work with us instead of against us. |
Considering that OTZ/MEA are probably the same person and are probably management? Yeah. It makes total sense if you look at the information and see it is messaging around fear, uncertainty and doubt.
I can't understand why there are a few outspoken people here that encourage it. Can't fix stupid I guess.... I mean posters here don't even understand how a seniority system works and are looking for OTZ/MEA for answers. lol |

Or they could take 10% off each base and it would only cause minor shuffling of bases. |

Which bases they shrink is possibly more important than the total number they cut, depending on your overall seniority vs base seniority. For example, they could close the Portland base which would be 3XX pilots. None of the Portland guys would get furloughed because they're all too senior but they would all be displaced to other bases.

... And either way the furloughs would ultimately go in reverse seniority order based on the system wide seniority list. I'm not sure what your point is here? Seriously, read the contract.

His point is that where they do the shrinking will influence how much pain the whole seniority list feels. Having to commute because your base closed or shrank to the point you can't hold it anymore sucks too. Not nearly as bad as being furloughed, but it still stinks.
Maybe he should have asked how will reductions be divided between bases. |

He didn't ask that, he asked "how would the furloughs be divided between the bases".
Maybe he should have asked how will reductions be divided between bases. I'm glad Conquest knows what I was saying. |

Seriously? You can't understand the question because I said furloughs vs reductions? Come on now, we all know how a seniority list works. Reductions = Furloughs, and where those reductions take place determines the impact to those that are left. This isn't to minimize the pain to the people directly furloughed, but things should still be a **** storm if you're fortunate enough to remain but your position in base does not.
I'm glad Conquest knows what I was saying. |
