Last time we furloughed,11% of the pilots got a furlough notice. 2008-2012.....So this time we are only furloughing 12.5%. Seems like we are doing ok this time around given the dramatic decline in business as compared to 2008....What says you Kotzy boy.....Seems like working within the confines of our CBA is the way to go...No need to change the rules when it is simple enough to follow them.

I am one of the most pro-pilot individuals on this website. I just am not stupid, I don’t believe in DAL plus 20% and all the other stupid crap. I believe industry standard wages, that result from the underlying economics. I know what is realistic and I know what is not. I hate the caustic behaviors of the Angry8. (really this group consist of about 60% of the 580 or so VXrs... so 350ish) This group gets all the reasonable protesters at AS fired up with lies and half truths. They push the throwing bricks and molotov Cocktails, to the total demise of the group as a whole. There is no vengeance from the company, just no favors either. 385, will soon get there 18-36mos off and there will be no guilt on the management side. We after all made our bed and now we get to sleep in it.
Could it be that with the "Angry 8" in the picture, management's usual gains at the pilots' expense have been harder to come by, hence the effort to demonize L-VXrs and pit them against their L-AS brothers in an effort to weaken the extraordinary unity that have been building between the two?
OTZ, could you articulate for us some of the lies and half truths that the "Angry 8" have been pushing so that we can be informed, as I honestly was not aware of this deception.

Maybe the "reasonable protesters" as you call it is exactly what AS management has preferred and taken for granted over the years, because while L-AS pilots fought the fight and did push for change, their "reasonableness" have always allowed management to get the better of them?

“Alaska pilots are the lowest paid in the industry”
“AS management is purposefully running Airbus maintenance into the dirt to justify getting rid of it”
”All other NB pilots get an average of 4 days more a month off then AS”
”We have more EJets flying for us then any other airline”
”Because we have no scope, QX is going to fly NB aircraft soon”
pre covid: “We are Loosing 2 million a day”
”Alaska is the worst managed airline in the US and we are about to go bankrupt”
”Alaska is going to furlough while all the other airlines are running new hire classes because our management is so stupid”
”Everyone is leaving AS because we are the worst airline”
”Alaska is not able to fill new hire classes, people just no show”
“No one wants to talk to AS at job fairs because it is the worst job in the industry”
I could go on and on... it’s one giant VX tantrum and broken record... all lies, exaggerations, and half truths.

Well today wasn’t such a good day, I should honestly spend more 💵 and enjoy... I am not getting any younger. If you really know who I am, you know I really do have every penny!
A few less pennies today though😉
Heard MAX flying in October, cross your fingers, I will believe it when I see it.
