Idk....if the situation is dynamic....this could be a pipe dream as well. If other companies are furloughing.....we will too. I"m not counting any eggs until more information is available on this virus. It seems that the facts on Covid change everyday...then change back...then change again.

I think the fact that we only haul passengers from 3 west coast states, Alaska and Hawaii does not bode well for us. Alaska and Hawaii are essentially federal welfare territories now that tourism and oil are dead and the “Three Stooges” running Wa, Or and Ca are keeping the bogey man alive and well. Hope for the best and plan for the worst was never truer than it will be starting in Oct. Thankfully we have a talented and tough MEC that will blunt much of the damage from the coming tsunami this fall.

The chief pilot said today on a base call in LA they need 750-1000 to take the early outs or incentive lines, if that’s true it’s seems his furlough number prediction may have been on the low side anyhow.

I’m an advocate of incentive lines, and I will bid the longest duration possible. But, these numbers don’t make sense. How does a 20% reduction in block hours next summer equal 750-1000?
