How much of an override? $3 $10 $25 $50 ?

Amen to "I work to live, not live to work."
my comment regarding mixed reserve being a terrible thing was more along the lines that those pairing should be available in open time to start the month and not assigned to reserves. When most of our reserves in HNL don’t break guarantee it’s just giving the company free trips with no benefit to the pilot group.

I was told by our union that WOCL override is a non starter. They didn’t even want to talk about it. Not saying they didn’t try. It just wasn’t possible.

I have no doubt that’s what they said, and I’m sure the company told them that and they just accepted it because it isn’t a priority for the negotiators. The company also said scope was a non starter last cycle and yet we ended up with at least some scope language. The union is simply saying they are unwilling to use negotiating capital on WOCL override. I think you’ll see most of what they are trying to negotiate will be wide body rates with very few changes or improvements to the existing contract.

I’d be surprised that a bunch of people would focus on negotiating rates for an aircraft they’ll never get to fly but we are talking about my coworkers.

Anyone 55 years old or older on December 3rd, 2023 will never get to fly a WB.

I’ve said many times we will have to send the 1st one back. This NC seems a little to buddy buddy with management. It will take sacrifice to get this over the line for both sides.

That was a horrible decision.
You lost me on that one. Our new system has its issues, but it's wildly better than the old. The issues can be improved with a few lines added in the contract.

Not in the left seat. Maybe right seat if they grow AZ.

Interesting that no one in authority is really bothering to correct the false assumptions floating around SEA, I guess better the grease the JCBA if people think that's the only thing holding up SLI and their 48 hour CDG layovers.
