To force an arbitration, maybe they're gonna buy an airline that is ok (SY, G4, HA), but is not a game changer as far as allowing them to become/remain relevant?

The brand living on, and the money saved in keeping the substandard contract in place would probably make it worth their while..

Buying another airline to keep the same crappy contract will not solve the attrition and no show problems we have.

if they’re aren’t interested in negotiating i think there may be meat to the MA rumor. Unfortunately, if they are handling it this way, I’m guessing more in the way of another acquisition of probably sunny or Hawaiian. Forced arbitration just as you mentioned.

if we were being acquired, they may negotiate more to calm the storm and stabilize the operation so a suitor doesn’t see the dumpster fire that our airline really is.

Fair enough, but based on the latest update from NC, it seems like they are not interested in negotiating, and by extension solving the problems you mentioned.

They are not operating in a vacuum, so I imagine that there is some method to their madness.
