The MEC did a great job! I've got buddies from other airlines excited for us. MEC represented and got my vote!

Yes, a "rep" ;-) explained it that way to me. Doesn't calling a rep for clarification make more sense than arguing on here?

I wasn't arguing for clarification. It reads pretty simple to me. The first look back will be on Sept. 1st, '23. AS pilots will get the higher of 4% or the average of 5 airlines. As it's written, The ONLY one excluded would be JB, IF they don't have a new contract. To me, this means that the other 4 airlines WILL be included, even if they don't have a new contract. Wouldn't it behoove the NC to include the fact that, NONE OF THE AIRLINES ON THE LIST WILL BE INCLUDED IF THEY DON'T HAVE A NEW CONTRACT, or, ONLY AIRLINES WITH NEW RATES WILL BE INCLUDED???? The way you explain it, if DAL is the only airline to get new rates prior to 9/1/23, we average our pay with theirs and that's it. That is mostly definitely not how the language is written. Maybe the wording changes in the final full TA, but that is not in the executive summary.

I'll message my Delta buddies to let them know you're coming. They are having a difficult time getting a TA and it seems you have the answers.[/QUOTE]

This dude is Toxic. How about you message his name now and I’ll pass it onto our Pilot Selection team…we don’t want him. Pretty hard to mask 15 years if resentment & anger. Chances are if he squeaks though he doesn’t make it off probation.

Why’s that? You feel confident that renegotiating in 3-6 months or longer as we diver deeper into a recession might be better? You don’t think the NMB would see this as a reasonable offer and refuse step in further down the road?

Just curious of your thoughts after reading it over is all…

Just reading through the final language and in some areas it’s very good but in some key areas it’s leaving a lot to interpretation, which I indicated in my inputs to ALPA needs to be cleaned up and it isn’t. I think it will pass but I just can’t get behind it at the detail level. However, the next 3+ years will show if I was right or wrong and if I was wrong I will tell you in a few years time.
