Under PBS and the new reserve system you will be able to bid for more days off than 12. Seniority based but still. On top of that aggressive pick allows you pick your schedule. An effectively neutralize days of reserve.
min the mean time before that is implemented
ADG is 5:15, it now applies to reserves as well. SCR you are called out and used for the first 15 days. 5:15 x 15 days=78:45. You are now a high time reserve, get realeased for the remainder or get paid 2:50 for just being in a RAP. That’s the last tidbit, I’ve done leg work you do the rest, there s a lot more, a lot more!

If this system pumpkins pilots after 15 days of use, then they'll have to have a lot more pilots on staff.
Good stuff.

They are confusing you for a VX Capt that had a last name of Cordova. I'm pretty sure he's already retired.

When you're home based, you spend enough time in your own bed.
There is no way that you can spin this that will satisfy me. Because it's all just lipstick on a pig. And we're all still on the hook for 18 days a month - indebted to the company.
That really kills any chance to frequently travel. Because 2-2-3-5 is a barely enough days to change out your laundry before you're back again.

I was initially a NO. Did not like the Compensation package, or better put, was underwhelmed. Thought Retro could be higher and Vac credit higher as well. Absolutely HATE the ANC/FAI all nighter carveout. Wish there was a WOCL override. But I said since the beginning my yes/no vote will be determined from section 25. After diving into this, listening to the podcasts and talking to my Rep, there's a lot of great things in here. The PBS system just to start will be industry leading. I came from Atlantic Southeast, the PBS system there was unbelievable, and Industry leading. This PBS system will be very similar if not the same (vacation low means you'll be able to turn 7 days of vacation into 3 weeks. or pick up time and make $$ your choice). Still like to hear pilots on here gaming it out, giving me scenarios to think about regarding RSV and BBH situations. But I'm with many on here who said HELL NO at first, but at second glance is very good. Quality of life language isn't exciting, you have to read and discern and apply. Not like pay rates anyways, those always bounce out at you. Spirit is a great example, they pour the bulk of their pot of money into QOL, I love their QOL piece, but their pay rates comparatively aren't exciting. I would much rather have a higher QOL, WITH AN OPPORTUNITY to make more money IF I CHOOSE TO. I think this system will allow that, looking forward to the road shows to determine my final decision.

So…. AS pilots will happily vote for a contract that literally merely reduces their paycut due to inflation as opposed to getting pay raises. In 2022. When the pilot shortage is what it is. When AS is literally raising rates to reach and match the starting pay at a regional airline.
You guys are a living example of a battered spouse syndrome. Really awful to watch a pilot group show such low self esteem.

Retro is the only reason anyone is still saying they are a No vote. They cannot come to terms with the fact they are not getting as much as they thought and are upset someone junior is getting more than they should. Example given to me.....someone that was on year two pay should only get about 17-19k on a full retro based off of 75 hours each month. However, they are going to receive somewhere around 22k-25k with the current setup. If this is true, then they need to ask themselves if it's worth saying no because someone junior to them receives a few extra thousand back than they think they should. Pretty petty in my opinion, but thats just my opinion and other people really seem to care about that little piece compared to the remainer of the TA

I think a lot of the anger from this pilot group, myself included, isn't a direct result of the lower than expected retro, TOS pay, or whatever short comings felt from the initial look at what's coming. Anger and disappointment in how the company has continued to conduct itself is continuing to fuel this fire. Scope alone could have been handed to us years ago. A prior to TA pay bump could have been an olive branch. This company is still negotiating. Our MEC and NC has done an amazing job, they're up against a giant who's job is to save money. A tiger can't change its spots. Our union asked that we conduct ourselves as ladies and gentlemen throughout this process. I believe we most certainly have. I can't say the same thing about our fearless leaders. Stock buybacks and larger C suite bonuses will be coming once this passes. There's plenty of meat left on the bone.
